Welcome to the Mill Race Hotel, Wolsingham
In the picturesque village of Wolsingham, the gateway to the dales, surrounded by beautiful countryside, sits the Mill Race Hotel.
Offering an informal eating and drinking policy to all patrons with a comfortable and cosy bar area with open fire, informal dining room and a more formal restaurant area to the rear of the pub.
We offer a set price menu which is available from 6-9pm Tuesday to Friday, 12-2 pm on a Friday, and 6-7 pm on a Saturday. Priced competitively at £9 for one course, £12 for two courses and £15 for 3, and made up of things like Steak and Chips, Sausages and Mash, Liver and Bacon, Fish and Chips, wonderful Stews and Casseroles. Every Tuesday, we do a "Bring your own wine" night, so feel free to rummage around in the drinks cabinet or the cellar, and bring along something, and to make it even better, we do not charge corkage either!
We believe that a community should look after itself so we source as many of our products from local suppliers as possible. Our Dairy produce comes from Martin Bell, the Village Diaryman, Vegetables come coutesy of Amy Gittens, Wolsingham's own Green Van Lady! Our meat comes from William Peat and Castlebank butchers headed up by Master Butcher Jim Higginson. Jim uses his many years in the trade to ensure that the locally sourced meat is always top class so you know that the food infront of you is the best that it can be.
To accompany the food there is a wine list to cater for every pocket and palate, and a good selection of draught real ales and lagers.
Every now and again the Mill Race Hotel will host various events, celebrations and wine tasting evenings, these will be advertised in our news and events section and will offer something truly special. From wine Tasting nights, to lavish Gourmet nights of pure indulgence and events to celebrate the big days in the calendar like mothering sunday, Valentines Day and St George's Day, to name but a few.
The Mill Race Hotel is also available for bigger events, with our function room which can cater for up to 25 guests or the hiring of the whole place, we will gladly cater for any celebration that you may have, we can offer special menus and deal with your every requirement. A wide range of canapé and finger foods are available.
